چکیده

This article addresses the area of decision making for information systems (IS). We recognize the great demand for methods and techniques that can be of practical help by presenting a new, conceptual approach, the profile distance method, to support the IS selection problem. This approach combines the merits of two prominent concepts individually applied in decision making: the utility ranking method (URM) and the data envelopment analysis (DEA). In addition, the method involves calculating distances between the desired system profile defined in the additive multiattribute utility model and the individual alternative profiles calculated by the DEA derived optimization process. The results can be visualized to support the decision maker in justifying and communicating the model outcomes. The proposed method is illustrated within a real life case study concerning an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software selection problem.

MULTI-ATTRIBUTE DECISION MAKING METHOD BASED ON BONFERRONI MEAN OPERATOR and possibility degree OF INTERVAL TYPE-2 TRAPEZOIDAL FUZZY SETS

This paper proposes a new approach based on Bonferroni mean operator and possibility degree to solve fuzzy multi-attribute decision making (FMADM) problems in which the attribute value takes the form of interval type-2 fuzzy numbers. We introduce the concepts of interval possibility mean value and present a new method for calculating the possibility degree of two interval trapezoidal type-2 fuz...

Triangular Intuitionistic Fuzzy Triple Bonferroni Harmonic Mean Operators and Application to Multi-attribute Group Decision Making

As an special intuitionistic fuzzy set defined on the real number set, triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number (TIFN) is a fundamental tool for quantifying an ill-known quantity. In order to model the decision maker's overall preference with mandatory requirements, it is necessary to develop some Bonferroni harmonic mean operators for TIFNs which can be used to effectively intergrate the informa...

A Hybrid Multi-attribute Group Decision Making Method Based on Grey Linguistic 2-tuple

Because of the complexity of decision-making environment, the uncertainty of fuzziness and the uncertainty of grey maybe coexist in the problems of multi-attribute group decision making. In this paper, we study the problems of multi-attribute group decision making with hybrid grey attribute data (the precise values, interval numbers and linguistic fuzzy variables coexist, and each attribute val...

Introducing a New Approach for Prioritizing Combating Desertification Strategies Based on Multi- Attribute Decision Making

Addressing desertification, due to its multi-criteria nature, increasing development, extensive and long-term impacts on natural resources and human populations, is necessary to achieve sustainable development. Therefore, for optimal utilization of facilities and limited funds allocated to this issue, evaluation of current strategies, based on different criteria is essential to avoid wasting na...

Multiple attribute decision making with triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers based on zero-sum game approach

For many decision problems with uncertainty, triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number is a useful tool in expressing ill-known quantities. This paper develops a novel decision method based on zero-sum game for multiple attribute decision making problems where the attribute values take the form of triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers and the attribute weights are unknown. First, a new value ind...
